Sophisticated travelers accustomed to superior service may recognize the crossed key insignia of "Les Clefs d'Or" or the "Keys of Gold," which is worn on the lapel of a hotel concierge who has received membership into this prestigious group. Mark Krug, Chef Concierge for the Mansion on Peachtree, A Rosewood Hotel wears his Les Clefs d'Or proudly as long-time member of this distinguished international circle dedicated to fostering and promoting the ultimate in guest services.
A veteran of the Mobil five-star, five-diamond Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, Mark Krug was tapped as an envoy to provide guidance on the opening of Rosewood Corniche, Rosewood's spectacular ultra-luxury hotel in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Following his success in Jeddah, Mr. Krug was offered the prestigious title of Chef Concierge for Atlanta's finest hotel.
"Mark Krug epitomizes the stringent criteria upon which membership in 'Les Clefs d'Or' is based," said Luigi Romaniello, Managing Director of The Mansion on Peachtree. "From extensive knowledge of The Mansion and its amenities, its city and attractions and an unflagging commitment to client service to an immediate response to fulfill the simplest or the most unusual request, Mark represents the qualities required by 'Les Clefs d'Or' and brings an uncommon level of expertise to The Mansion on Peachtree," Romaniello added.
As Chief Concierge, Krug brings his exceptional service standards to manage multiple levels of service staff, from the concierge team and bellmen to the front door personnel. In addition, Krug provides a number of concierge services to hotel guests including arranging transportation, organizing day or week-long excursions and maintaining profiles of guest preferences.
Krug states, "A talented concierge thinks outside the box and acts quickly. Relationships are important and my rapport with other "Clefs d'Or" concierges allows me to call contacts in any part of the world to assist with hotel guests' future plans or immediate needs. For example, I once organized the excursion for a young couple on their first trip to Texas to go to a working ranch and rope cows!" Amazingly, Krug has even managed to have Neiman Marcus open its doors on a Sunday evening to accommodate a particular guest's immediate shopping needs. Krug adds, "I love making the impossible happen!"
Les Clefs d'Or professionals have a never-ending network of acquaintances, friends and colleagues from around the world to assist them in meeting and exceeding guest demands. Known for rolodexes worth millions, Les Clefs d'Or concierges are in the enviable position of being able to recommend destinations, businesses, companies, and/or products to thousands of business and leisure travelers throughout the world. Members of Les Clefs d'Or USA represent over 275,000 hotel rooms nightly at more than 250 primarily four-and five-star properties and constitute the only national association of professional hotel concierges in the United States. |
