Can I use the uplift to access the hill without a bike? Yes! We welcome walkers to come and enjoy the mountain and you can use the uplift service to access the summit.

How hard is the climb at BikePark Wales?
This 4.6Km climb takes in some great features as it twists and turns its way to the summit, there are plenty of features to keep you on your toes. The fastest riders can get to the top in under 20 minutes but for mere mortals it’s more like 40!
Do you need a full face helmet for BikePark Wales?
We highly reccomend the use of full face helmets, knee and elbow pads and gloves as a minimum when riding at BikePark Wales. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment though as we have partnered with industry experts Fox to offer you the best protective equipment available to rent during your visit.
How long does it take to pedal up at BikePark Wales?

At 4.6 km it’s also possible to cycle a singletrack trail all the way to the top yourself and this will take between 20 and 40 minutes depending on fitness. For those choosing to use the uplift service we highly recommend booking an uplift ticket in advance as more often than not tickets are sold out well in advance.
Can I charge my bike at BikePark Wales?
BikePark Wales have become the first and – as far we know – only bike park or trail centre to start charging more for e-bikes. It will now cost £15.00 for a day pass for folk wishing to ride their electric mountain bike at BikePark Wales.
Can you do BikePark Wales without uplift?
Children 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by a guardian at all times in the bike park. With the absence of our PAYG uplift service we’re aware that it’s difficult for families with young children to use our uplift service.

Is BikePark Wales worth it without uplift?
Yep – good day out IMO. Last time I went was 7 runs, if you motor up it’s quicker than the uplift by quite a margin. Average is about the same, but then I tend to ride the fire road rather than the XC climb. However 7 runs up & down, i’m substantially more tired than uplifting.
What should I wear to BikePark Wales?
You must ALWAYS wear a helmet. We also strongly advise you wear a full face helmet, eye protection, gloves and body armour. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A HELMET YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RIDE IN THE PARK OR USE THE UPLIFT SERVICE. Read and adhere to all advice signs while using the trails.
What bike do I need for BikePark Wales?
Mountain Bikes
The trails at BikePark Wales are rough, challenging and demanding on both bike and body. Therefore, only Mountain Bikes are permitted to be used on the trails at BikePark Wales. We recommend the use of appropriately sized, modern, long-travel, full suspension bikes with good quality hydraulic disk brakes.
