Why has NDAC closed?

How deep can a BSAC sports diver go?
Sports Diver training dives are no deeper than 20 metres. Once these dives are successfully completed, a next step can be to extend your depth capability to 35m. Depth progression is not just about doing three dives; one each to 25m, 30m and 35m. Be prepared to do more than one dive to each depth.
Why has Chepstow dive Centre closed?
Following discussions with the team, we have decided that we will not open the National Diving & Activity Centre during January 2022. This is due to the rapidly rising cases of Covid 19 in the UK and the uncertainty as we move into the new year.
Do BSAC qualifications expire?
BSAC certs don’t have a time limit, you are still the grade and can dive abroad etc. Last shout I had was at 5am from a student who was in Australia with no cert at all. GUE certs expire after 3 years. There is a minimum requirement of av.
Can you dive without a divemaster?
If you want to do diving on your own (with a buddy of course) you should have sufficient experience to be comfortable in the environment where you will dive. You should acquire information about the depths, currents, temperature, and weather when you will be diving. You should plan your dive, and dive your plan.
