Is Lubeck a good place to live?
Lübeck is one of my favorite cities in Germany, good choice! It is not too big, but has everything you need. Personally, if I moved there, I would look for something in the “Altstadt”. It is really beautiful!

Is Lübeck an island?
Lübeck’s Old Town lies on an island surrounded by the Trave River, which flows into the Baltic Sea about 20 kilometers further downstream. Historical ships lie in port in the Museum Harbour on the Trave, among them many traditional sailing vessels. Tourists can take day trips on some of them.
What is Travemünde?

How to get from Hamburg to Travemunde?
You will find that Travemunde is directly connected to Hamburg and Lubeck. From Lubeck, take bus routes number 30, 31 and 40. The bus operator is SV Lubeck. A single adult ticket will cost roughly 3 euros. Depending on where you are coming from, there are different ferry companies that will bring you into Travemunde.
Is the lighthouse in Travemunde worth visiting?
It’s 31 metres high and is situated on the Trave promenade. It’s a great place for sea views and watching the ships pass by. The lighthouse also has a maritime museum where you can see various artefacts and maritime information. For a few euros, it’s worth visiting to look over the bay of Travemunde.
